Progress report on that FOSS AI job tracker I’ve been working on. Just 2 days ago it was merely scaffolding with a road map. In just two days I’ve managed to crush four milestones! It’s got a full job application pipeline (Kanban or list, take your pick), resume library, LinkedIn data export integration, it has job search function from official APIs (albeit a little limited in scope right now), and now AI powered gap analysis, resume tailoring, and cover letter generation (wired up to use Microsoft AI or Claude).
While we’re not 1.0 yet, it is still a usable tool! It all runs locally on your PC by just cloning locally and following the build instructions, or you can throw it out into a Azure Static Web app!
Next up I’ll be focusing on pipeline intelligence, like auto flagging stale applications. Give the repo a look, test it out locally, and let me know if you have any ideas or feel free to just open a PR!
